Re: Happy birthday windy bob

Come on Bob, get in the spirit. I remember a time many moons ago now, we thought it was going to be a loss to the forum and your family with the long hospital recovery. You have been a blessing to our hobby for years with many more years to come. After all, with over 15% of all posts attributed to Y...

Re: Windmill ID

Hi Lori, as a side note to ID, you may want to trim your tree to allow the wind to do its thing and spin your windmill. Can't tell from your pictures if the windmill has become part of the tree or just adjacent to it. Have fun with you new machine and welcome to the forum.

Re: Happy Birthday Windy

Hi Bob, just saw this post. Another year of living the good life, congratulations on getting back to your projects so fast after the last heart "tune up". Don't feel alone in having health issues. At 75 I could probably match your number of surgery's and then some. Sounds like you are very...

Re: 26ft Windmill—Rapid City, SD

Great mill and pics, Thanks! The bird in pic #7 at the ten O'clock position must give him a heck of a ride when the wind picks up and wheel unfurled.
Nice drone framing also!

I love Ivan's work table to store rattle cans! Quarter Sawn tiger oak. Could use in my dining room.

Re: windybob's status

Bob, we go back quite a few years on the old windmill forums but never met in person. You are one of the persons I look forward reading your informative and entertaining posts. You will certainly be missed during your surgery and recovery time, but take it one day at a time. Medicine has changed dra...

Re: X-702 hub shaft removal

Thank you Kenneth for the detailed reply. I am trying to build my own data base for 6, 8 and 10 foot Aermotor shafts both A602 and A702's.
From the pics I have seen you do great machine work. Take care, Tom

Re: X-702 hub shaft removal

Very nice work Kenneth! I am curious what OD dimension did turn the new shaft and what grade of steel did you use for your replacement. Thanks for sharing, Tom
