Notice the sail rims do not go through the sails. Definite positive I.D. Steel Star.

Dennis, I thought the 8 and 10 foot took 2 quarts, but I could be wrong. To refill after draining, remove the hood. That is a good time to give everything a good visual. Such as gear wear etc. As far as leaking, my 8 ft. doesn't leak much if any. Although mine doesn't get unfurled all that much, it ...

Flint and Walling used what they call a staple bolt. Basically it is a square U bolt.

The tail vane looks to be Flint & Walling Steel Star. The wheel section, I am not sure.

If you drill them, make sure you keep them straight. I went through that when I rebuilt mine. I was told by Pat Hunt, ( the Heller Aller master ), they will be tight, but you can drive them out. Use a quality punch. Hold it with a vice grip and use a 32 oz. ball pein hammer. I put mine on the floor ...
