The price list that Peter posted shows hub replacement for Toronto and Stratford mills. Does anybody have more information on the Stratford mills? Were they basically the same as the Toronto or Aermotor?

Red Jacket Water Softener?
The man I got this from told me it is a water softner. It is approx. 8 1/2" dia. & 11 1/2" tall. Green enamel/porcelain. I do not know if it is complete or if there would have been more components.
Anybody seen one, or have a catalog showing one?
Thanks
Gregg

Re: Windmill weight maybe
Maybe a counter weight for a gate? Sometimes a counter weight was mounted on a fulcrum to make opening gates easier. Just my guess.

Mike (mtblah), Amana/Maytag were competitors. I worked 21 years for Frigidaire/Electrolux/Eureka, and 12 years for Beam Central Vacuums in Webster City Iowa. They are both owned by Electrolux in Sweden. Factories were moved to Juarez Mexico and closed in Iowa. I spent 36 weeks in Juarez during the t...

Re: Elgin Hummer Model L
Paul,
I bought a set of bearings from Paul Cowley. I decided to make a sketch of them for future reference if needed. You may add it to the library if you choose.
Not a professional drawing but hope it will help someone.

Re: Wincharger Drawings
I was a draftsman for 18 years. Started on the board by hand and eventually got CAD. 33 years total engineering in the appliance business. Before CAD, it was frustrating to have a full size layout of a clothes dryer, and have the engineer have you move something 1/4 inch. Mike, I can appreciate the ...

Paul, I have a drawing for the wooden bearings the shaft goes through. Will dig it out and post it later.
