Yours for the postage if you want. I can knock the braces off and just send them?

Re: X702 Spoke Brace

New spokes whether aermotor or after market
are going to have a different looking brace and not be timed. If your existing spokes are chicago era, you, you want to find two good vintage Chicago spokes

Re: X702 Spoke Brace

The 314 and 314 1/2 were only used with open gear thru 602. A true 702 Chicago spoke the brace is integral with the spoke shaft. Separate part braces are used in repairs and aftermarket where the hub/spokes aren't timed. Take some pics of what you have if you want to have it picked apart... Ron Stau...

Re: This One's Got Problems

I have gone off that exit different times to work on windmills on the other side of the interstate at Owl Head. I never took a close look at that 1 at the highway. But it has been in disrepair for a long time. The tail, spokes and motor are the only thing Conway, the rest is Chicago. It is a late Co...

Some questions to help analyze: 1) Static water level and possible drawdown? 2) Is the gravity bottom check supplied with 442 still in place as well as the Simmons check? 3) When you say prime, I assume you are filling the pipe and it holds but doesnt have system pressure? Priming level above workin...

Re: PROBLEM! Need advice of those who've been down this road a time or two...

There should also be a check valve off the discharge of the working head and the pressure tank? Back in the day these were set up with 20-40 switches. These type systems were very short lived because pumps come on board and were way more reliable. So I have to ask why it was set up? Head and psi are...

Re: Found a starter Mill project

Yours is not an early 802 as those were the green weenies out of Conway. It was built in 1991, five years after production started in San Angelo. The helmet is an anomaly though in addition to that crate for the motor. 802 motors with metal helmets were shipped bolted to the pallet. If the fglass he...

Re: What Tower

RP It appears to be on private land so in open carry states, social distancing applies... That is close enough to Balew's in skull Valley that they would know about it or worked on it. I have talked to them but it's been a while. I will stop in and get the skinny. I have a 1/2 dozen windmills in tha...

Re: What Tower

RP That is a very unique set up. Is that out in the Superstitions or ranch country in the Quartzite direction? It is worthy enough that I would like to check it out in a few months when back to AZ if you would provide location? You can PM if you want to keep the location private. That is 90% likely ...
