Re: Windmill erector
Ron your information matches what is written in the Farm Show magazine article.
They deal mostly in Aermotors. If you go go to their web site they mention
prices that seem a bit high but that probably goes by the state they work in.

Re: Aermotor 1897 bell hub wheel rims
Thanks Wayne.I have some really hard wood that is about 6 inches think. That was my
thought to cut the curvature in it.This wood came from bridge decking and is very very heavy
so won`t move around when pounding things on it.

Re: Aermotor 1897 bell hub wheel rims
They are not that bad.I an hoping to find something with the right curvature such as a power pole and use a rubber hammer to reform. That way I can leave the clips on which will save removing 6 rivets per sail.At this point I have removed the sails from the rims. Have all winter to work on this proje...

Re: Aermotor 1897 bell hub wheel rims
Thanks Windy.I was worried about hammering the rims as they are curved in 2 directions
at the same place and do not want to distort the profile.Pictures would be welcome.

Aermotor 1897 bell hub wheel rims
On my way back from looking at the power mill a couple of weeks back I found in a back road ditch a mangled complete wheel that matches my mill which is missing 3 sections.I want to be able to salvage enough from this find to complete mine which I have had for 8 years. The sails are not bad but the r...

Re: What model of mill
Todd you could be right about the mill being built in Leduc. That town near Edmonton is only about 150 miles from the mill.I got a hold of the present new owner and they have no interest in dealing with me until next March.Asked them to give me first chance at purchasing. I indicated to them that it ...

Re: What model of mill
Thanks.I thought that it was not factory. It was very cold and windy the day I took the pictures and did not spend much time there. I found the sails behind the building.Couple leaning against a wall but rest are buried under years of dead grass and other material.Did not attempt to extract any as th...
