Re: new in Canada

The fact that an aermotor wheel will bolt right on has my interest piqued. Jerry since yours is disassembled, could you measure the outside diameter of both large and small gears? ⁷ Peter, since yours is assembled, could you provide the actual long stroke length? I am wondering how close these will ...

Re: new in Canada

I measured an inner band of an aermotor and it is very close 19 and 7/8. That is measured from the center of the big hole to the center of the big hole.on the band. You can measure your inner band the same way.and if it is close you are good.

Re: new in Canada

As a check, the radius of 19 on an inner band should equate to an OC measurement of inner band attachment holes to the wheel arms of. between 19 and 7/8 and 20.

Re: new in Canada

If as Peter says that an aermotor wheel will bolt right on then the radius of 19 and 37 are close enough for windmill tolerances.

Re: Windmill Tower Punch

I dont often use it up on a tower. Usually setting a stub, there is an old head to remove so I am setting up the hoist anyway. Lay mill and tower down, chop the top, set the stub, put on new head and reset everything. That is the easiest and safest. I have used it twice in the air, once because it w...

Re: Diverter cup

My first glance at the casting number.did not look like Aermotor because of the style type and font of the casting. I have 4 catalogs with the casting number of 233 on spout cup 20240102_220926.jpg A prefixes on aermotor parts were only for the 8 motors. Pump parts had a p and tower parts had a t. T...

Re: 1899 Aermotor for parts - SOLD

The differentiation between the 98 and 99 tailbones are outlined in the narrative under this pic. Because the 99 is pull in mill, it has 2 additional attachments on the bones top strut next to the motor that the 98 doesn't have 20240102_120907.jpg Paul's next to last pic and two 8'and one 10' 99 bon...

Re: 1899 Aermotor for parts - SOLD

It is an 1899. Unmistakable 402 mainframe and part 441. Bone is 1899 but has been repaired with pipe. Aermotor pipe bone frames never had a pipe coupler in them...

Re: Disassembly and rehoming

Is that a fiberglass helmet? Yes it is fiberglass. The entire head is 802 model through and through. Even the tower is 802 - universal steps, oversize sae hex hardware and 1.5" platform. Refer to Macdabs post in July. Removal would be complicated somewhat by the non existence of a brake band. ...

Re: Windmill Tower Punch

Cost is about $150. 20231128_163433.jpg We have made towers. When handling 20 foot pieces of steel, we drill all the tower holes. But we make patterns to speed up the process so that way we are only doing layout once. Once we have a pattern, we clamp it to a new piece to drill the holes. Drill press...
