If you zoom in you will see a L X I V anotherwindmiller said they were mills used on the railroad. Another tail casting or gate casting I have also has roman numerals also.That mill came from the opposite end of the county. I know ranchers reused mills off of the railroads. I have always liked the bigger mills. As far as big iron i have repaired and installed several 12',14' & 16' aermotors. But i was wondering on the back of the weight arm their is some roman numerals stamped. Does anyone know what these were for?

14' Eclipse
My first antique mill restoration. I've always wanted to restore one of these. But have never been able to locate one until recently so many were scrapped during ww2 in our area.
