I'm working on restoring the 1929 dated 502 gearbox Roger Feilmeier had. Does anyone have any pictures showing the hub it came with. He posted pictures on the old forum but it appears that forum isn't accessible anymore. Thanks in advance,

Joe, those dimensions don't sound too bad. I've retired some to shop stands that have a lot more wear than that.

Joe if you have a calipers, check the diameter of the mast pipe by the oil cup. If its significantly smaller than the top (unworn area) it may need replacement anyways. I haven't seen any published numbers on how small is too small for an A702 but I can measure some I set aside as too worn to reuse....

In a pinch I was able to straighten one in the receiver hitch on the truck. No heat, just a couple forceful jumps on the end. I wouldn't recommend it though unless you have a big buddy or are younger/stronger/heavier than me! I usually heat it with an acetylene torch. I don't think a propane torch w...

You're thinking of the Parish fabricated mill. There are no known surviving Elgin Snow mills.

I hope so Bob. That would at least give hope for one to be discovered someday. To the extent of my knowledge there are none out there.
