Re: 1st day after 40 yr rest

Nice work Mike. Sorry I missed the lift. Another windmill casting shadows across the beautiful South Texas Hill Country.

Re: Bulverde Dempster Spinning

Thanks Mike. I really appreciate the “small part” but made a huge difference securing my tower.

Pictures of our windmills would be great! Maybe we could get our 12 favorites and make a calendar? That’s be cool.

Bulverde Dempster Spinning

Good evening from beautiful Bulverde Texas.
Got the Dempster back up and spinning this weekend.
Used my lift to get this shot. Will post more pictures of details later this week. Enjoy. God Bless.

Bulverde Windmill rebuild phase 1

Good afternoon from beautiful Bulverde Texas. So I got my tower back up thanks to my neighbor Dave and his son. So now I have a favor to ask. Does anyone know where I can get about 2 foot of tower leg metal? It came with one footing shorter than the other two. I would like to have all three the same...

Re: Update from Bulverde Texas

Thanks Mike & Bob. That leads me to a few questions. If my windmill is not pumping water is there a need to brake it for any reason? I would think the sails are least wind resistant when they are moving? Of course my tower went down with the wheel spinning. Thanks for any help. Mike, let me know...

Update from Bulverde Texas

First I would like to thank all of you for your advice and encouragement. I’m not someone who sits around so I did what Bob said and took advantage of a rainy day and went to work. I was able to get the sails pretty straight and the flat iron supports pretty close to original. Mike thank you for you...
