I was afraid me,head and machine would end up on the ground. When I was moving and taking my windmills down I rented one of the lifts that has the extending boom you can drive around. Had basket two people could work out of. It could lift enough I felt safe picking up a head off a tower and bringing it down.
Wayne,

I have had good success with these towable booms. I have raised a 27ft & 33ft tower with them w/o the heads. I have to admit I was a little scared, but that made me be extra cautious. I also raised a 6ft & 8ft Aermotor heads with them too. I really like using the electric one, it sure makes it easier and quiet when working. The gas engine one was hard to hear each other talk. Thanks.

Jerry
