Bob those rams are pretty interesting how they work. My brother has one in his collection from the fortys. There's one for sale on Craigslist in Buffalo from the early 1900s I'm "thinking" about buying.

There has been talk about them before. I have just never understood how they work.

You guys are too funny. lol I know it has something to do with the water falling. When it stops , it builds up pressure. Then there's something to increase the built up pressure. That's when I lost it. lol

When I was in Tech school learning how to work on computers, if someone asked a question how something worked and the instructor didn't know. The answer was it's MAGIC.
