Generator?

Have a part you can't identify? Did your parts get mixed up in the shop? Curious if that chunk of metal is a part you should keep? Not sure what kind of wind generator you have? Post photos of the mystery object here for the community to help identify.

Is a 12v Wincharger, 200W peak, made up to 1982. They’re fairly common. I see parts for these occasionally on eBay, marketplace and Craigslist.

Hey Dan, I’m guessing your brother’s 32v is a gear driven model, likely a 4:1 gearbox making it spin roughly 4x faster than the 12v. Energy and power go with rpm squared so much higher power density. Again that’s just me guessing on which 32v model it is.

Your right his is the gear driven 32volt. Thanks for info mike when the cost of shipping goes down if you have the rest of the parts I need I'll be in touch. Stay cool. Steve told me it's been pretty hot lately.

I have complete machines in that model, one is NOS. Cooler weather coming next week. Come on down, bring the HK and I’ll load up your truck.
