Picked this one up today at a flea market never seen one like this. Good idea though.

And the H/A wheel sections......

Looks like about 5 lbs of babbitt in that size laddel , really big industrial machine bearings .

What i found interesting is that cast piece with the name on it slides and the ladder turns inside it

Makes since, that way you don't loose your grip and pour that hot stuff in your boot.

Do you speak from experience Wayne ?
You may remember from a few years back it took me 4 tries to get a good seal on the Aermotor bearing I was pouring , I still remember the molten babbitt splashing onto my shins , ( dont wear shorts when pouring babbitt ) even if it is hot weather .

The best part about that ladle is that one side pours from the bottom. It makes skimming dross a little less critical.

Picked this one up today. Pretty cool how it dumps, only one I've ever seen.

Odd , a real keeper , your right , never seen that veriation before .
