Home from my trip

I know some of you missed me this past week. Thought I'd share some pictures. I went to a Red Power Round up in Springfield Ohio. Visited an historical
farm called Carriage Hill. Took this picture of an enclosed windmill tower. I think Ken O-Brock put this up. Someone awhile back was asking about them.
I tell people that we raise pigs in Texas but up north they raise hogs.
I don't think I knew IHC built a car. They were trying to attract the rich, but what happened they made it too rich for everyone so it didn't last long. Then the other picture is of what was called an auto-wagon. Read a story about two men here in Navarro County when they bought the first two Auto-Wagons. It came with a second seat so after you hauled hay you could put it in and take the family to town. I'll put them in two post. :D

Wayne , you are right , we do raise pigs , lots of then , most are wild and do considerable damage to farm crops .
So , that is why we have open season on wild pigs in Texas .

Yeah in Texas it's not if you have wild pigs it's when you will have wild pigs.

I talked to the owner. Setting beside the engine was an oil can. He said you oiled the rocker arms every 75 miles. It also had a shaking generator. A canister mounted on the side that had you put carbide and and water dripped on it to make the gas for the head lights.

Wayne, in this case, I'm glad they don't make 'em like they used to!

I agree Bob can you imagine the " Road Rage" people get mad at me now because I'm doing the speed limit or a little under.
