Another one hanging by a thread

Generally speaking, this area is for general discussion about windmills, in most cases.

Another one hanging by a thread

Post by hoosiertom »

Here's another one hanging by a thread. I thought it was either a Runs in Oil Giant, Monkey Ward Windmaster or Fairbanks Morse 37. The guy who lowered my Heller Aller said he had been on the tower and it was a 37. I contacted the owner to perhaps purchase it and she said she was going to have it fixed. I offered to fix it for her (money wasn't discussed) but she didn't want to do that either. That was 4 years ago, I haven't been by there for a couple. I guess it's still hanging.

I figure the motor is probably in pretty good shape. Hanging upside down, it's not full of water!

If it wasn't to far I would check on it. Its probably still hanging there and you may be able to buy it now. The place may have changed hands.
