Meyers Pump

Post by gregguy »

OK how do you insert a picture?

To the point, I have attached a picture of a Myers pump.

Would this be a shallow or deep well pump?
OR
Is the pumping mechanism found within this pump.
OR
Looking for a shallow pump (Picture pump) that can be driven by a mill.

Thanks, hardly know enough to ask intelligent questions......greg

Here is one style of a under windmill pump. It has a handle just not in the picture. You would connect your sucker rod from the windmill to the rod coming out of the top of the pump. The cylinder for pumping would be down in the well at water level and connected to the pump with sucker rods going down from the pump. If you wanted to use the pump to pump water you would disconnect from the windmill put handle back on and pump water by hand. I'm not sure about your pump can't see the top if it has the dor to connect to the windmill. It might be what was called a cistern pump.
