Aermotor D602

Post by Topheavy64 »

I'm getting confused on which wheel spoke goes in which hole on the outside ring. Cant find any good clear pictures of a 602. Can anyone set me straight?

Same as a 702. Same pattern for all. Spokes should CROSS in the middle after coming out of the hub.
Call Dan Benjamin for parts. P M me for the phone number.

Each outer band has 2 holes, one for a spoke from front of hub and one for spoke from rear. As you start putting on sections, keep overlapping them the same way all the way around the wheel. When you get to the last one, you will need to drop off one side of the first section to get the overlap right.

Hard to explain it that it will make sense. Bryon has a nice colored diagram, but I cannot find it.

Also make sure the angle of the threaded part of the V-spoke are angled to the outside when installing on the hub. That way the threads (tips of spokes) will be on the center line of the wheel.

I have the spokes on the right way. I will start putting the sails on this weekend. I will start with a front spoke then a rear spoke all the way around. Thank you to all for the replys.

This is the same pattern for the screw-in spokes too.
