602 wheel

Generally speaking, this area is for general discussion about windmills, in most cases.

Ed i double checked my 602s early and later and my brothers too and there's no stamped letters or numbers on the loops or shafts. The only stamp is on my transition Bell Hub when they changed the hub from the original spider to the Bell Hub.

I have a B602 gearbox with an oil flipper and if there is a date on the end of the shaft, I can’t see/read it.

I stand corrected after scrubbing a little on the B602 shaft end. I see what looks like 3 18 R on the end of the shaft.

That's certainly an early one. I think they came out in 1916.

That oil flipper was on the 502s and a failure and was also on the first 602s i have some. I guess they wanted to use up what flippers they had in stock ??
