Restoration Services?

Post by HKGuns »

I am a total windmill newbie.

I have a Aeromotor 702 that has been on our property for a very long time. It is located in Northern Michigan in a National Historic area on private property.

I don’t have the skills, knowledge or equipment to tear it down and preserve it, so it will remain standing for nearly another 100 years.

Who would you folks recommend to do a full restoration?

I have a couple of feelers out, but imagine there are knowledgeable folks here who know reputable individuals or companies who can tackle this project.

Welcome to the forum. Good looking windmill. Likely needs bearings and a vane spring.

That is a 6 ft across the fan (wheel) 702 Aermotor windmill. !933 was the year that model came out. There is usually a date on those, but the helmet needs removed, and the area cleaned.
Call Dan Benjamin for parts. P M me for the phone number.

Yeah don't know that I've ever seen an Aermotor looking like that.
