Thomas , your getting to be a better windmill’ all the time
Reverse polarity on cast is difficult
Your welding looks good

Haha, well they aren't my welds. It was done by a friend of mine who has experience welding cast, I didn't want to risk messing it up. I just helped!

Yea I figured my 120 year old mill shouldn't be my learning piece haha. I'll practice on some scrap first

Pick up hints from your friend. That's how i learned. Oh I also reversed the current. Guess that helps too.

That's definitely the plan, he was telling me how he was doing it every step of the way. He helps me a lot with my 1941 John Deere. And we are currently rebuilding the engine on his 1926 John Deere D cause I broke it during a parade last month haha

Thomas Post some pics of your tractors sometime i love old tractors but had to choose between them and windmills, can't afford both as a hobby.

The farmall cub was my first tractor, that picture was taken just after I finished painting it. It has since faded a bit since it lives outside haha
