Looks pretty good to me. Your jig is better than mine. But then again, I don't work on these larger ones.

Thanks guys. I appreciate it. I do wish I had wrapped some shimstock around the sides before I put the damming putty on. It would have let it come out in the sides better.

Baking paper, one or two wraps depending how much clearance you want . YES , they are even pretty !

After speaking with Ron Stauffer, it was brought to my attention that the pitman arms needed the gap on each side, to collect oil. So, I went back and machined it out. Made a few more parts and got it all back together. Ready to go in the air. And thanks again Ron for catching that.

When y’all build a wooden platform for an Aermotor, what do you use? This is my third one and I’ve always used treated pine, 2X12. Problem is, Aermotor used 1.25” lumber, and the bolts aren’t long enough to go through two, 1.5” boards. I’ve heard it was white oak. That would be very expensive today. Thoughts?

Can you make new L bolts? Or use ruff cut lumber that's what I usually do.
