Wm. Pepper & Co

Post by Peter vk »

Hi all, here are a couple of pics of my Pepper mill I finished restoring. The wheel and tail are new material.
It's still missing the brake lever and shoe.

Wow, what a beautiful restoration ! Will this get to outside and get some wind in its wheel? Hope so. Thanks for posting the pictures.

Thank for the complements.

Steve, for now it's staying inside, maybe if I find a tower for it I would put it up in the air. I already have nine up in the air

Beautiful! Wm. Pepper a new name for me. There must have been thousands of local manufactures! :D

Nice work as usual! What new projects are hidden under those drop cloths?

Am sure a tower could be arranged for one of those tail vanes hanging on the wall in the shop!

Wayne, I think there's one in the museum in Lubbock.

Ron, under the cloth are chain drive Steel King's made by Goold Shapley & Muir. My next project!

Nice looking mills, they are very attractive. I think I see an Ideal Irrigator vane on your wall, do you have the whole head? I have got one that is missing a couple parts if you got pics? I like your shop, looks like a nice warm place to spend the winter, much better than watching TV!
